Born on the island of Aruba, Albert started his culinary journey at a young age working at several five star properties.
By the age of 18 he had developed a full fledge passion for good food and knew that he wanted to further his culinary career in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Here he started working at the number one fine dine steak house.
Chef Albert also took some time to work in Germany to enhance his culinary knowledge.
After several years he decided to broaden his horizon and start a new challenge, moving to Abu dhabi to open Belgian cafe on Yas island.
Albert enjoys discovering local flavours, especially during travels around the world and integrating these in to his dishes.
His culinary philosophy and passion reflect current trend towards health, simplicity and freshness.
At home he enjoys making new dishes from scratch for his wife, often using his sous vide machine to think up new creations.
