“For us, food is a passion and is all about feelings, family traditions and love”
The story of Bianca originated in 1922, in the area of Battipaglia, in the south of Italy. At the time, the De Marco family was famous in the region for the exceptional milk produced by their water buffaloes. One day, Bianca De Marco and her husband decided to use their know-how to produce more than just milk and started making their own buffalo mozzarella and burrata.
Over the years, the small dairy farm became a successful company, passing on its traditions and savoir-faire to the next generations.
Longing to continue the De Marco legacy, two young cousins from Naples arrived in the UAE to fulfill a longtime culinary dream: to spread the authentic flavours of Italian products in the gastronomic capital of the region, Dubai.
In March 2015 they opened the doors of their first restaurant, named after their grandmother, Bianca, located in the modern outdoor concept destination, Boxpark on Al Wasl Road.
Bianca was first conceived as a small authentic Neapolitan bistro with an exclusive selection of the freshest Italian dairy products, but quickly blossomed into an established destination for Italian food lovers. Stylish and informal, Bianca is a representation of the Italian conviviality, offering comfortable seating in a luminous interior with large windows and milk-white walls.
The menu features a wide selection of traditional Neapolitan dishes cooked by an Italian Head Chef and drawn from the founders’ memories of life in the South of Italy. Well-known for the locally produced mozzarella and burrata delivered every morning, Bianca values freshness, quality and authenticity. Some of the most popular dishes include the Burrata al Bicchiere, a fresh, creamy Stracciatella di burrata served in a jar with cherry tomatoes, basil and croutons and the Tagliatelle con Funghi al profumo di Tartufo, an “al dente” pasta recipe with a rich mushroom sauce and subtle truffle flavors.
Bianca also offers a wide range of desserts and signature sweet treats as well as fresh, cold-pressed juices and smoothies, in addition to Italian espresso drinks and coffees. The traditional Cafè Napoletano is made with a vintage moka machine.
Since opening, Bianca has consistently received positive accolades from both the food industry and press, including being shortlisted for the Time Out Awards 2017 in the Best Italian Restaurant category and receiving the Ospitalità Italiana certificate from The Italian Industry & Commerce Office in the UAE. Bianca has also welcomed many VIP guests, some UAE royalty among them.
In April 2017, only 2 years after their successful debut in Dubai, the cousins introduced their second Bianca venue, located at The Beach, just steps from the well-known sandy beach of JBR, offering their customers additional options for an authentic Italian meal including seafood dishes, typical Italian street food and authentic Neapolitan pizzas baked in a hand-built, traditional, wood fired oven.
Now with two locations in Dubai, Bianca commits to creating authentic Neapolitan cuisine with the freshest and finest quality ingredients.
