Shane Pranith Chamara Silva
His passion for cooking started in 1998 at Ginza Hohsen Japanese Restaurant in Hilton Hotel Colombo, Sri Lanka as a trainee Japanese Chef. It was an opportunity for him to better integrate his cooking skills by joining Yakitori House Japanese Restaurant in Royal Ascot Hotel Dubai as a Demi chef de Partie.
Shane then moved on to one of the prominent hotels, Hyatt Regency Dubai. Joined the award winning team at Miyako, broadened his exposure to master the Japanese cuisine. He got on board another award winning team; OKKU luxury Japanese Restaurant and Lounge in Dubai. Later on went on to be a part of the pre-opening team at Warwick Hotel Dubai to plan and introduce Zenses Japanese Restaurant.
Opening Wakame Japanese Restaurant was his next project. As the Head Chef at Wakame, alongside a brilliant team of chefs, he takes on the responsibility to ensure the complete satisfaction of each guest being served.
