The creative mastermind behind the three Michelin-starred Osteria Francescana, Massimo Bottura brings us the stunning Torno Subito. A throwback to the 1960’s Italian Riviera, Torno Subito brings you the soul of Italy in a playful and inviting destination.

This destination restaurant is a throwback to his childhood memories of holidays spent in Rimini, on the Italian Riviera, in the 1960s. The phrase, “Torno Subito” translates to “I’ll be back soon!” and is borrowed from sign boards that hang in closed store fronts in Italy indicating their afternoon break. Departing from the fine-dining experience of Osteria Francescana, Torno Subito, in true Italian fashion, amplifies the whimsical atmosphere of a nostalgic era.

The venue—open for both lunch and dinner—hits ESCAPE by taking guests on a journey back to 1960’s Italy, where the vibe is sophisticated and social, but laidback. From the moment you step through the doors to the last morsel, Massimo remixes tradition with the decidedly avant-garde in a masterful, yet playful menu of his favourite recipes.

To quote Chef Massimo, his menu “celebrates Italian tradition in evolution”. Guests can dig into a selection of dishes originating from the North to the South of Italy, utilising the most authentic ingredients. Little crossover from Osteria Francescana’s menu appear, but do expect to see a handful of signature plates such as the Tagliatelle Al Ragù, a recipe handed down from his grandmother made with different cuts of beef, slow cooked and hand-chopped.

Massimo’s playful approach is evident at all touch points of the restaurant. The design brings the days of Frederico Fellini’s La Dolce Vita and the circus to life. Guests dine in a 60’s-esque wonderland, decked with colourful Paola Lenti furniture, life sized beach-front imagery, and a homage to Massimo’s love of art.
